Equitec's journey began over ten years ago when the Founder, Mark Gregory, identified a need to introduce more transparency, connectivity and a better customer experience to the later life market.
Initially focused on improving the customer experience, Mark pioneered calculator technology that helped customers researching equity release improve the quality of information and understanding of how much they could borrow.
From calculators to comparison tables and comprehensive research engines, Mark has continued to innovate the industry with more tools aimed at empowering customers and helping them find the best for their needs.
As the later life market has grown and innovated, our technologies have been developed to capitalise and help support the industry. We've helped Equity Release Supermarket generate over 500,000 leads, process 30,000 applications and released £2.4bn of equity.
In parallel to empowering customers, Mark’s vision included wanting to give more transparency and connectivity to the wider market.
Our centralised Equity Release Distribution System enables lenders to manage their inventory across the growing number of research technology providers through a single exchange. In return, research technology providers are then able to access lender's product information - in real-time. This results in a seamless, more efficient and profitable process.
Since joining the business in 2012, Jamie has played a fundamental role in helping Mark deliver his vision by creating and implementing technologies that continue to drive the equity release industry forward.
Dedicated to driving continuous improvement, innovation and adopting best practice, Jamie researches and analyses the latest technology from outside the equity release industry to help him shape the strategic direction for the business.
With the vision and strategy in place, Jamie then works with our product, design and development teams to manage their implementation throughout the entire equity release customer journey.
